There is much debate as to whether or not public toilets should be free to use.

And the reason for this is because over the past decade there has been a number of public establishments (most notably train stations) that started to charge people to use their toilet areas.

The uproar to begin with was not to be degraded as it did cause quite the stir. And over the years, more and more paid public toilets have come into being, which have

continued to create debate amongst the general public.

So the question is should people have to pay to use these areas? There are two sides to the argument as there always is.

First of all the argument for YES is that establishments such as train stations are required to pay for the upkeep and cleanliness of these areas, and so this represents a very valid point in the case of perhaps why people should pay.

However, the other side of the coin and the complete opposite side of the spectrum is that such public establishments have a general duty to the public who are already paying money to use their services within the same building confinement.

Much like the argument of what is best, petrol or diesel, it really is just a matter of opinion.
