Making a Change

???????????????????????????????????Installing a new flooring type into a bathroom can be either a pleasant or a painful experience.

Much of this depends on the type of material being installed, as well as the knowledge and experience of the person carrying out the installation.

There are also a number of different things to consider when undertaking the job, such as whether or not new base boards are required?

To those that are perhaps not familiar with base boards, they act as a protective layer from the ground up to about three or four inches up the wall (depending on the size and style chosen).

Quite often it is the case whereby if a new floor needs to be installed then the base boards will also have to be replaced.

And the reason for this is that the two of them generally go hand in hand in terms of how they deteriorate and age. The good thing is that base boards for bathrooms are not expensive and can be installed very easily.

Some, like with vinyl tiles, come with an adhesive backing, which enables them to be directly placed onto the wall. Therefore the only type of labour required is the measuring of the piece and then the subsequent cutting.
