Adding to the Bathroom

Depositphotos_11886965_sSince the turn of the century more and more homeowners are deciding to add to their properties by way of extension.

This has especially been the case since the collapse of the housing market in 2008/2009.

The reason this was escalated during these times was there was a slow uptake of investors in new property, and so the common consensus was for homeowners to add value to their own homes by any means necessary.

Extending rooms has always been a popular choice and the bathroom is certainly an area that allows for improvement.

Increasing the size of a bathroom has suddenly become a viable choice as there are now many newly sized units and appliances that are popular in the marketplace.

For example, long gone are the days of the conventional bathtub and shower units; as the newer styles can be all different kinds of shapes and sizes.

What this means is that if a larger bathroom were to be created, it would increase the number of options available to homeowners should they want to invest in some of the more modernised units and appliances.

The main advantage, of course, is that any kind of extension to a property will ultimately increase its value.

In essence then, there is a double bonus whenever such work is undertaken. The first is that a brand new space is created, which enables much more flexibility. And the second is that as soon as the work is complete, the property is then worth more than it was previously.
